I’m not going to elaborate – I think these are pretty self-explanatory. Entryway. Kitchen. Living room. Bathroom. And …bce (“that’s all”).

I am working in the Peace Corps, Luxury Division. I have reliable running water, central heating, electricity, my own water heater, and my own indoor, flushing toilet. Plus a refrigerator. (I also have a kitten on my lap.)
Most importantly, I don’t have enough stuff to make the apartment too cluttered, so it is usually fairly neat and my things are semi-organized. Gasp!
Oh, and I have the best key-ring ever . Sarah Lawrence lanyard, little boy dragon with a beer from Qingdao, and AWESOME keys – to my apartment, my classroom and my PO Box:

The Flat...
There will be days with NO heat, NO water, No electricity...you do indeed live in luxury - many Ukrainians I knew/knw had whole families in the space you call home and they had no more clutter than you do.Do you wash clothes in a bucket? Do you have an oven? I see a hot plate... You do live in luxury! 8-)
My spouse and I are back in the USA, and we actually miss ourtiny Ukarinian flat and all the simplicity of life. Life is good...take time to enjoy it!

Re: The Flat...
Ginn,Yes... there have already been days of NO heat, NO water, NO electricity, but none of that is important, really. I really love the apartment, and know that I am incredibly lucky. I do wash clothes in a wash-basin. I don't have an oven -- just the hot-plate. I figure it's an opportunity for personal culinary innovation.
Thanks for the good wishes, and I hope you two enjoy being back in the States, however crazy and full of consumerist clutter it is.
